1. Introduction & Our Philosophy

Welcome to Pura.fan ("Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by [Pura Technologies Oy] (Finland).

We believe in Privacy by Design. Pura.fan was built to allow creators and fans to interact without the invasive data harvesting, tracking, or identity verification (KYC) required by traditional platforms. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what minimal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

2. The Data We Collect (Minimalist Approach)

We collect only the absolute minimum data required to operate the Platform, ensure security, and facilitate transactions.

  • Account Data: Username, pseudonym, and a cryptographically hashed password. We do not require your real name, phone number, or personal email address to create an account.
  • Technical Data: If logged for security or abuse-prevention purposes, IP addresses are immediately hashed and anonymized. We do not use IP addresses to track, profile, or identify individual users.
  • Transaction Data: Invoice IDs, transaction hashes (if applicable based on the payment gateway), and the public wallet addresses you provide for deposits or payouts. We do not store, have access to, or manage your private keys.
  • Content Data: Images, videos, text, and captions you upload to your profile or share with subscribers.
  • Support Data: If you voluntarily contact us via email or Telegram, we retain the content of that communication solely to resolve your issue.

3. What We DO NOT Collect

To be completely transparent, we explicitly do not collect or store:

  • Government-issued ID, facial scans, or any Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation.
  • Personal email addresses (unless voluntarily provided for specific account recovery or support).
  • Behavioral data, browsing history, or click-tracking.
  • Data for the purpose of training Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) models.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the minimal data we collect strictly for the following purposes:

  1. Service Provision: To create and maintain your account, host your content, and display your profile at username.pura.fan.
  2. Transaction Facilitation: To process cryptocurrency payments, calculate platform fees (3–7%), and route payouts to your designated wallet.
  3. Security & Abuse Prevention: To detect and prevent fraud, spam, botting, or violations of our Terms of Service (e.g., investigating reports of prohibited content).
  4. Legal Compliance: To respond to valid legal requests (e.g., DMCA takedowns) or comply with applicable laws in our jurisdiction.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. Ever.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Infrastructure

We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. We only engage service providers strictly necessary to operate the Platform:

  • Hosting & Storage: We use secure, reputable cloud infrastructure providers (e.g., S3, VPS, VDS, Colocation, etc) for hosting the application and media. These providers are contractually bound to process data only on our instructions.
  • Payment Gateways: Third-party crypto payment processors are used solely to facilitate transactions. They receive only the necessary public wallet addresses and transaction amounts.
  • Legal Authorities: We will only disclose information if legally compelled by a valid court order, subpoena, or lawful request from authorities in our jurisdiction (Finland/EU). We will notify the user of such requests unless legally prohibited from doing so.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:

  • Account Data: Retained until you delete your account. Upon deletion, your account data is permanently erased from our active systems.
  • Content Data: Retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your content at any time, which will remove it from our servers.
  • Transaction Records: Basic, anonymized financial records (e.g., invoice IDs, payout amounts) may be retained for a limited period (e.g., 1–3 years) solely to comply with corporate tax and accounting obligations of our legal entity. This data is not linked to your personal identity.

7. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You can update or correct your account information.
  • Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can request the permanent deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Right to Data Portability: You can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: You can request that we limit how we use your data.

8. Security Measures

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

  • All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
  • Passwords are stored using strong, one-way cryptographic hashing.
  • Infrastructure is configured with strict access controls.

Note: While we secure our Platform, cryptocurrency transactions are inherently irreversible. You are solely responsible for safeguarding your own wallet credentials and private keys.

9. Cookies & Local Storage

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage only to maintain your login session and remember your wallet connection state. We do not use tracking cookies, marketing pixels, or third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics).

10. Age Restriction

Pura.fan is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect any data from minors. If we become aware that a user under 18 has provided us with personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete that data and terminate the account.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised. We will notify users of significant changes via our official Telegram community. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
