Acceptable Use Policy & Community Guidelines

1. Our Philosophy & Purpose

Pura.fan is built on the principles of privacy, creator autonomy, and freedom of expression. We provide the infrastructure for creators to share content and connect with fans directly, without algorithmic manipulation, discovery feeds, or excessive censorship.

However, this freedom is not absolute. To maintain a safe, legal, and functional platform, all users (creators and fans) must adhere to these guidelines. This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is incorporated into and governed by our Terms of Service.

2. The "Neutral Platform" Principle

Pura.fan does not use recommendation algorithms, discovery feeds, or content promotion. Creators operate on independent subdomains (e.g., <username>.pura.fan).

  • We do not cherry-pick, endorse, or amplify any specific content.
  • We are not responsible for how users share, distribute, or link to these subdomain URLs outside of the Pura.fan platform.
  • Our moderation is focused on ensuring the content hosted on our infrastructure complies with the law and these guidelines.

3. Strictly Prohibited Content (Zero Tolerance)

The following content is strictly forbidden on Pura.fan. Violations will result in immediate account termination and, where required by law, reporting to relevant authorities (e.g., NCMEC, law enforcement).

  • Child Exploitation: Any depiction of minors in sexual, exploitative, or abusive situations (CSAM). This includes realistic AI-generated depictions of minors.
  • Non-Consensual Content: Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII), "revenge porn," or any content created or shared without the explicit, informed consent of all individuals depicted.
  • Illegal Activities: Content that promotes, facilitates, or depicts illegal acts, including the unauthorized distribution of copyrighted media (piracy), illegal drug manufacturing/trafficking, or human trafficking.
  • Violence & Harm: Incitement to violence, terrorism, credible threats, glorification of self-harm or suicide, or depictions of extreme, gratuitous violence or gore.
  • Doxxing & Privacy Violations: Sharing private, confidential, or identifying information of others (e.g., home addresses, personal phone numbers, private financial data, or government IDs) without their explicit consent. This includes "outing" someone's pseudonymous identity against their will.
  • Hate Speech & Discrimination: Content that attacks, threatens, or incites hatred against individuals or groups based on faith, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, sex, gender identity/expression, disability, or age.

4. Adult / NSFW Content Guidelines

Adult and sexually explicit content is permitted on Pura.fan, provided it strictly adheres to the following conditions (aligned with standard infrastructure provider policies, such as Cloudflare):

  1. Age-Gating & Labeling: All profiles and pages containing adult content must be clearly labeled as NSFW/18+ and utilize the platform's age-gating features.
  2. Consent is Mandatory: All individuals depicted must be consenting adults (18+). Creators must retain proof of age and consent (e.g., 2257 compliance records, if applicable to their jurisdiction) and provide it to us if legally requested.
  3. Prohibited Adult Themes: Even within adult content, the following are strictly forbidden: bestiality, zoophilia, non-consensual acts, incest, extreme violence/bondage resulting in severe harm, and any content involving minors or individuals who appear to be minors.

5. Prohibited User Behavior

Beyond content, the following behaviors are not allowed:

  • Spam & Scams: Sending unsolicited mass messages, phishing attempts, or fraudulent schemes to other users.
  • Platform Manipulation: Attempting to artificially inflate metrics, exploit platform vulnerabilities, or bypass account suspensions/bans.
  • Malicious Activity: Uploading viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users' devices.
  • Impersonation: Creating accounts to impersonate another person, creator, or Pura.fan staff member with the intent to deceive or defraud.

6. Our Moderation Approach

We believe in fair, transparent, and human-centric moderation:

  • Hybrid Review: New profiles may undergo a brief, initial manual review to ensure baseline compliance. Once an account establishes a history of good-faith use, moderation becomes primarily reactive (based on user reports).
  • No Automated AI Scanning: We do not use automated AI or machine learning tools to scan, flag, or moderate user content. All enforcement decisions are made by human staff.
  • Community Self-Management: Creators have full control over their own subdomains, including the ability to block users, manage comments, and set their own community rules, provided those rules do not violate this AUP.

7. Enforcement & Consequences

Violations of this AUP are taken seriously. Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, Pura.fan reserves the right to take any of the following actions, at our sole discretion:

  1. Content Removal: Immediate removal of the violating content.
  2. Warning: A formal notice to the user to correct their behavior.
  3. Temporary Suspension: Temporary lockout of the account while an investigation is conducted.
  4. Permanent Termination: Immediate and irreversible banning of the account, forfeiture of any platform-specific privileges, and potential withholding of pending payouts if linked to fraudulent or illegal activity.
  5. Law Enforcement Reporting: Mandatory reporting to authorities (e.g., National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, local police) in cases involving CSAM, credible threats of violence, or other severe illegal acts.

8. Reporting Violations

We rely on our community to help keep the platform safe. If you encounter content or behavior that violates this AUP, please report it immediately.

  • Email: Send details (including URLs, usernames, and screenshots if possible) to pura.fan@atomicmail.io.
  • In-Platform Reporting: We are actively developing a convenient, anonymous in-app reporting form that does not require email.

We aim to review all valid reports promptly and will take appropriate action while respecting the privacy of all parties involved.

9. Appeals Process

If you believe your account or content was actioned in error, you have the right to appeal.

  • Submit an appeal to pura.fan@atomicmail.io with the subject line "AUP Appeal: [Your Username]".
  • Include a clear, respectful explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect.
  • Our team will conduct a secondary human review and respond to your appeal within a reasonable timeframe.
